Thrilljoy PIX! Figures Explained

By Animetasia

Thrilljoy has quietly become one of our favorite lines to carry. If you've only collected Funko, Thrilljoy's PIX! figures are worth a look, especially if you like movies, horror and pop culture characters that don't always get a Pop.

What PIX! figures are

PIX! are stylized vinyl figures from Thrilljoy. Each one comes in a window box with art for the movie or show it's from, and each has its own subtitle that plays on the character, like Hannibal Lecter: Hannibal the Cannibal or Rudolph: Lighting the Way. They're a little different in style from Pops, which makes them stand out on a shelf.

Limited production runs

This is the big one. Thrilljoy prints the total production run right on the box: 5,000 pieces, 6,000 pieces, 7,500 pieces and so on. When a run is gone, it's gone. Collectors like knowing exactly how many exist, and smaller runs tend to be the ones that get harder to find later.

In our listings, the piece count is always in the title so you can see it before you buy.

Licenses you'll find

Thrilljoy picks a lot of characters you don't see much elsewhere. A few from our shelves:

Thrilljoy vs Funko

You don't have to pick one. A lot of our customers collect both. Funko has the biggest range and the classic look, while Thrilljoy gives you limited, numbered-run pieces of characters that are often harder to find. They look great mixed together on a themed shelf. A Terrifier shelf with Funko's Art the Clown and Thrilljoy's Little Pale Girl, for example.

Caring for them

Same rules as any boxed collectible: keep them out of direct sun, away from heat and humidity, and in protectors if you're stacking or storing them. Our guide on protecting and displaying your collection covers the basics.
