Funko Pop Sizes Explained
By Animetasia
Most people picture one size when they hear "Funko Pop," but the line has grown a lot since it started in 2010. If you've ever ordered what you thought was a regular Pop and opened a 10-inch box, this one's for you. Here's how the sizes break down, from the ones we sell every day to the ones you'll only see on a few shelves.
Standard Pops (around 3.75 to 4.5 inches)
This is the classic Pop: one character in the window box, roughly 4 inches tall, box about 6.25 inches high. The exact height moves around a bit depending on the character. A Pop with a big hat, wings or a weapon held overhead can stand closer to 5 inches, while a small character sits under 4. The box is the same size either way.
Two close cousins fit in the same box size:
- Pop! Plus is a standard Pop with a little extra going on, usually a bigger accessory or effect piece.
- Pop! & Buddy pairs the main character with a small sidekick, like a pet or a mini figure.
Every regular-size Pop we ship goes out in a 0.5mm soft protector, so these three formats are covered.
Large Pops: Super, Jumbo and Mega
- Super Sized (6 inch): usually a bigger character like a mech, a giant or a vehicle-sized creature. The Pacific Rim Jaegers are a good example.
- Jumbo (10 inch): the same Pop style blown up to 10 inches. These look great as a centerpiece and need real shelf space.
- Mega (18 inch): rare and huge. You'll mostly see these at conventions and in serious collections.
If you collect big Pops, check the box dimensions before you buy a protector. Standard protectors won't fit any of these.
Deluxe and display formats
This is where Funko gets creative. These are still Pops, but the box is built around a scene or a frame:
- Deluxe: a character with a larger base or set piece.
- Pop! Moments: two or more characters recreating a scene from a movie or show.
- Pop! Rides: a character with their vehicle.
- Pop! Town: a character with a building or location.
- Covers, Albums and VHS Covers: a Pop mounted in front of a comic cover, album cover or VHS sleeve in a flat frame-style case. These hang on a wall nicely.
- Die-Cast: metal Pops in a heavier box, usually sold as limited releases.
Mini Pops: Bitty and Pocket
- Bitty Pops are under an inch tall and usually come in multi-packs with a mystery figure.
- Pocket Pops are about 1.5 to 2 inches and mostly sold as keychains.
How to tell the size before you buy
The quickest check is the title. Listings for anything other than a standard Pop almost always say so: "Jumbo," "Super," "Deluxe," "Moment," "Covers" and so on. On our site you can also filter the Funko section by size: Standard, Large, and Deluxe & Sets.
And if you're not sure whether something will fit your shelf or your protector, just send us a message. We'd rather answer a quick question than have you surprised by the box.
