Blokees Model Kits for Beginners

By Animetasia

Blokees has quickly become one of the most talked-about brands in collectible figures, especially with Transformers fans. If you've seen them and wondered what they are, or which one to start with, here's what you need to know.

What Blokees are

Blokees are buildable figures. They come as model kits that snap together into a posable figure for display. They sit somewhere between an action figure and a traditional hobby model kit: more hands-on than opening a figure, but much easier than a kit that needs glue and paint.

Do you need tools?

No. Blokees kits are snap-fit, so there's no glue, no paint and no cutting tools needed. The parts come pre-colored. That's a big reason they're popular with beginners and with parents building alongside kids.

How long do they take?

Smaller kits can be built in well under an hour. Larger, more detailed kits take longer, but they're still a relaxed, one-sitting build for most people. The instructions are picture-based and easy to follow.

Sizes and lines

Blokees makes several lines, from small blind box figures you collect by series to standard kits of specific characters and larger premium kits with extra articulation, accessories and sometimes light-up features. If you're new:

Do they transform?

Blokees Transformers kits focus on looking great and posing well in robot mode rather than converting fully into vehicles. If you want a figure that looks like the character and holds a dynamic pose on your shelf, that's exactly what they're built for.

Displaying them

Because they're posable, half the fun is setting up action poses. Give them a bit of room on the shelf, keep them out of direct sunlight to protect the colors, and dust them now and then.
